Jesus prophecies in Olivet discourse
In Mark 13, often called the Olivet discourse, Jesus talked a lot about two things: the end times and his second coming. In sharing these prophecies with them, Jesus was not trying to encourage his disciples to speculate about exactly when he would return. Instead, he is urging all his followers to be watchful and prepared for his coming. If we serve Jesus faithfully now, we will be ready when he returns.
